Taylor McClanahan

Advocate

Taylor McClanahan is an LGSW in WV who describes her work as coming from her heart with the ultimate goal of making the world a kinder, more welcoming, and overall better place for neurodiverse families like hers. So, when her family found community and joy through CARES, it seemed that the natural next step was joining an agency already working to achieve what so many families in WV need. As CARES’ Advocate, Taylor responds to incoming calls, texts, and emails sent to the CARES Hotline at 681-895-4306 and provides appropriate service coordination based on the inquiry/need of the client, provides parents/caregivers, schools, and service providers with information and coaching in navigating educational, medical, and social systems to empower children with autism in WV, and provides direct advocacy to neurodiverse children in WV and their families when it is appropriate.
