CARES SUPPORT LINE
When you reach out to the CARES Support Line you will be put in contact with an organizational representative who understands and will provide assistance to guide you in educational advocacy, resource brokering, or direct family support.
CARES Educational Advocacy
CARES’ Advocate is a licensed social worker who provides educational advocacy across West Virginia. With vast knowledge of educational law and strong relationships with school systems, our Advocate works with families and schools to ensure students having disabilities receive the support they need, deserve, and are legally entitled to in the classroom.
Reach out to CARES’ Advocate and we can:
- Support you in educational processes like IEPs and 504s
- Answer questions and offer support with I/DD Waiver
- Identify avenues for clinical assessments and evaluations
- Connect you to available resources
- Recommend autism-friendly businesses in your community
- Provide a safe place to process challenges with a trusted listener
