Abigail McCollam is CARES’ Data and Communications Coordinator. She oversees communications and marketing, creates social media content, designs materials, writes copy, drafts grant applications, organizes data, and manages grant funding and reporting. And you probably see her at events!

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Marshall University. She first joined the CARES Team as a Communications intern in May 2024, then joined full-time as Data and Communications Coordinator in January 2025.

Outside of CARES, Abigail loves all things storytelling – books, movies, TV shows. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing cards and board games, hiking, and hosting themed parties with her husband.
